Park Road Netball Courts

The project included extensive civil works to support the netball courts and surrounding infrastructure. Key components of the project involved:

• Construction of 12 international-standard netball courts
• Installation of state-of-the-art sports field lighting
• Civil works including new retaining walls and drainage systems
• Installation of accessibility ramps ensuring inclusive use for all
• Construction of 220 linear meters of footpaths, along with kerb and gutter
• Road pavement construction and line marking for organized traffic flow
• Development of a new car park, including security fencing
• Landscaping with 1800sqm of turf and the planting of specimen trees

In addition, the demolition of redundant courts resulted in the recycling of 1200 tonnes of waste concrete, which was reused in other beneficial projects within the Shoalhaven area, minimizing environmental impact and contributing to sustainable construction practices.

The successful delivery of the Park Road Netball Courts provides the local community with an international-level facility that supports both casual play and competitive events. The incorporation of advanced lighting systems, quality civil works, and sustainable practices, such as concrete recycling, has set a benchmark for future sports facility projects in the region. This redevelopment ensures the Shoalhaven community has access to a top-class sporting venue that encourages participation, inclusivity, and environmental responsibility.
