About the Project

The Tannery Bridge Road project involves a crucial infrastructure upgrade, replacing the aging and dilapidated timber bridge with a modern, durable solution. Engaged by Shoalhaven City Council, Jirgens Civil has been tasked with the complete demolition of the old timber structure and the installation of an InQuik modular concrete bridge. This project ensures long-term safety, durability, and reliability for the community, supporting traffic flow and reducing maintenance costs.

Scope

The Tannery Bridge Road project encompasses a comprehensive range of works aimed at delivering a robust and sustainable bridge infrastructure, including:

  • Demolition of Existing Structure: Safely dismantling and removing the old timber bridge that had exceeded its useful lifespan.
  • Construction of InQuik Modular Concrete Bridge: Installing a state-of-the-art modular concrete bridge, designed for rapid construction and minimal environmental impact.
  • Road Approaches and Guardrails: Upgrading Road approaches to the bridge and installing new guardrails to enhance safety for vehicles and pedestrians.
  • Drainage and Scour Protection: Implementing advanced drainage solutions and scour protection to mitigate water damage and erosion around the bridge structure.
